Who can participate in the therapy program?
Clients who have sustained a stroke and are dedicated to improving and achieving maximum recovery. As with any rehabilitation program, clients must be evaluated and referred by a physician to ensure no underlying conditions or factors exist that would preclude participation in the program.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. Your primary care doctor or specialist can write you a prescription for physical therapy, occupational therapy and, if needed, speech therapy. Each of these needs to be on the prescription.
Does insurance cover this
Insurance usually covers the services provided, but insurance policies vary a great deal. We will work carefully to assist you with your insurance coverage questions.
How is this program different from other therapy programs for stroke?
The Center for Stroke Recovery combines long treatment sessions, a wide variety of the most up-to-date equipment for stroke recovery, therapists with significant training in neurorecovery techniques, and a large number of specialty services related to stroke.
